"Anne of Green Gables" Fashion Week

I am so excited to host my very first fashion week event! Going with the theme Anne of Green Gables, as it is what got me interested in costuming, which led to me learning to sew clothing, which brings me to starting this blog.  =)

You see, Anne has had an influence in my life since I first saw the movie, Anne of Green Gables with Megan Fellows. My sisters and I would play "Anne" though out childhood, and our teen years. We would be studying for "Queens," reenact many scenes from the movies. "Anne Drowning" was one of our favorites to play in our pool. Gabrielle would be Anne, I would be Diana and Gilbert, whilst Hanne-col (one of my other sisters) would play Ruby. Anyways, on to the details of the event. =)

Who can join this event? Anyone who has a blog and loves Anne. I will also have a group on Flickr for those without a blog. 

What will the event be about? Showcasing our inner Anne girl! Or who ever your favorite character is. There will be different categories to enter in:
  

• Modern Anne (Wear what Anne might wear today.) [For ideas look at this post I wrote.]
• Costumes of Anne (Show off those costumes/dresses/skirts/you name it that were inspired by the movies, or books.)
•  Crafty Anne (Make something for the event that is inspired by Anne.) 
• How Anne Has Effected Your Life. (Write a blog post on how Anne has effected your life.)
• Drama Club - (Write a story or poem, sing a song, create a play or movie, paint/draw a picture about Anne. Go all out and have fun!)

                                       
When will the event be held? The second week in July. The dates are: July 11th -17th.


Where will this event be held? Right here on Bramblewood Fashion. ;-)

How can I join? Each day during that week I will have a Mr. Linky at the bottom of my post. You will then link in your post for that day. Easy as pie.

Winners:

Once the event is over, I will do a big post with links to everyone's posts. Then you may dear readers will vote for your favorites in each category. The winner will receive a banner saying that they were voted best what ever category they were in. Sound good?

I'm also planning on hosting a giveaway during that week too. If any of you would like to donate something for a giveaway, you can contact me through my profile. As I would love to have more then one giveaway during this event.

Other Fun Stuff: 

I'm planning on having reviews, tutorials, and what ever else I can think of during, and leading up to the big event. So be on the watch out for those.
