What I'm Wearing - Patriotic Glory (Route 66 Jean Skirt)

- What I'm Wearing -

"Route 66" Jean Skirt - Made by Me {This is new. I made it for my trip to San Antonio.}
Red & White Stripe Tank - St. John's Bay {J.C. Penny}
White Blouse - IZOD
Cameo Necklace - Portobello Road Market {London}
Pearl Earrings - Gift
Black & White Polka-Dot Headband - Claire's

I love this new outfit combination! It is very Patriotic. You know what? Since we came back from San Antonio I’ve been mixing up my outfits a lot - trying new combinations and looks.

Today I served at my Church for a Seniors Luncheon that happens once every month. Except during the winter months, December through February. But we do bake cookies for the Seniors at Valentines. Well, today was special, as I gave a presentation at the Luncheon on Historical Costuming. I was so nervous. But it worked out alright. Afterwards we did Operation Christmas Child with the Seniors.

WIFD - Day 4

Here it is day 4 of WIFD. And I put together a new combination for today's outfit. As I usually don't wear this combination together. I'm not sure that I would wear the blouse again with this skirt. As the blouse is kinda like a tunic and looks best with my jeans. Maybe a pencil skirt would work better?

~What I'm Wearing~
Purple knit shrug - Made by me
White blouse/tunic - Vera Wang collection at Kohls
Jean wrap skirt - Made by me
Purple knee-high socks - Target
Black fashion boots - Bass Shoe Outlet

 The shrug is a recent project as I just finished sewing it. I really like how it turned out and it was simple to sew using our serger. If you are wondering I used Simplicity #2560. I would highly recommend this pattern to anyone, as a beginner could easily sew this.

Week In Feminine Dress - Day 5

An American in London is today's theme! Why might you ask? *giggles* Well, I'm wearing a sailor shirt with a Union Jack Necklace. Want to see pictures? Of course you do!

What I'm Wearing:

White Linen Sailor Shirt - Made by me using a 1950s pattern. So you know, I didn't use a sewing machine, instead I sewed the shirt by hand.

Jean Skirt - Made by me.

Union Jack Necklace - Same as yesterday.

Week in Feminine Dress - Day 4

Sorry no day three. :-( I simply forgot to take a picture! I barely remembered to do one for today! I was too busy having fun at the State Fair with a bunch of friends. :-) Fun times!

What I'm Wearing:

Blue and Green skirt - St. John Bay from JCPenny's for $3 on the clearance rack
White Tank - St. John Bay from JCPenny's for $4 on sale
White Sleeveless blouse - Karen Scott (I got this shirt years ago!)

Brown Flip Flops - Mossimo Supply Co. from Target $15
Straw Hat - from Wall-mart several years ago
Sea green Purse - Don't remember the brand it's from JCPenny's I paid about $10
Union Jack Necklace - Chain I already had and had received as a gift. The charm I bought at Hancock Fabrics for $2.50 with three other charms.

Wow! Looking at this list, the most expense thing of my outfit is my flip flops! Shocking!
